Yes, you’ll need an active Squarespace subscription to publish your site.
Your template includes an extended 3-month free trial (instead of the usual 14 days), so you’ll have plenty of time to build and customize your site first. When you’re ready to launch, we recommend the Business Plan for most authors. -
Besides your template and Squarespace subscription, you may want a custom domain name (usually around $12–$20/year). Some of the Canva elements we’ve used might require Canva Pro, but Canva offers a 30-day free trial — more than enough time to edit and download your graphics before being charged! For photos, there are plenty of fantastic free stock photo sites out there, and we’ll show you exactly how to find and use them in our step-by-step guides.

The actual pages have already been created and installed into every template! However, you will need to write your own copy for this as it just contains placeholder text.
