MODULE FIVE: LESSON ONE
What’s a Books Page & Who Needs One?
Your Books page is where readers can see everything you’ve written in one organized, easy-to-browse place. Unlike a Shop page — which lets you sell directly from your website — a Books page is designed to showcase your titles and link out to retailers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Kobo so readers can buy wherever your books are available.
If you’ve purchased the Shop Page add-on, I recommend deleting the Books page. The two pages are nearly identical, but the Shop Page includes the added functionality of an actual store.
If you decide to delete the Books page, you can click the button below to access the shop page modules. THIS MODULE IS PASSWORD PROTECTED, SO MAKE SURE TO GRAB THE PASSWORD FROM THE WELCOME PDF THAT WAS SENT TO YOU.

Everything I cover in this Books module is also covered in the Shop module… just tailored to the Shop Page setup.

Why a Books Page Matters
Even if you don’t sell directly from your site, a well-designed Books page:
Gives your website a professional, complete look.
Makes it easy for readers to find your books in reading order or by series.
Keeps your brand consistent by displaying your covers, blurbs, and links beautifully.
Who Should Use a Books Page?
A Books page is perfect if:
You publish exclusively on Kindle Unlimited or another retailer.
You don’t want to deal with the logistics of selling signed or physical copies yourself.
You prefer to send readers to Amazon, Apple Books, or other platforms for purchases.
Books Page vs. Shop Page
shop page
BOOKS PAGE
Lets readers purchase directly from your website
Perfect for selling signed copies, paperbacks, or exclusive merch
Requires inventory management, order processing, and fulfillment
Links readers to buy on retailer sites (Amazon, KU, Kobo, etc.)
Great for authors who don’t want to handle sales or shipping
Easier to maintain… just update links as needed
Key takeaway:
If you only sell through third-party retailers, your Books page is your best friend. It’s an easy, no-fuss way to guide readers straight to where they can buy your stories, while still giving you a gorgeous place to show off your entire catalog.
Action Steps
Decide if you’ll use only the Books page or add the Shop Page.
Choose whether to keep both pages or delete the Books page if you purchased the Shop Page add-on.
Gather your book details: titles, covers, blurbs, and retailer links.
Plan how you want to organize your books (by series, release order, etc.).
