MODULE FIVE: LESSON THREE
Linking & Customizing Your Listings
Your Books page should do more than look pretty… it should work for you by sending readers TO exactly where they can buy your books. This lesson shows you how to link each book to its retailer page and customize the listing details.
Adding Retailer Links
Select the Button
Click on the button in your book listing section.
Insert the Link
Paste the direct link to your book’s retailer page (Amazon, Kobo, Apple Books, etc.).
Double-check the link by opening it in a new tab to make sure it works correctly.
Optional: Multiple Retailers
If you want to offer multiple retailer options, consider adding extra buttons FOR EACH ADDITIONAL RETAILER.
Linking Your Book Cover Image
You can also turn each book cover into a clickable link, giving readers an easy way to jump straight to your book with just one click.
How to Link Your Book Cover:
Click on the book cover image in your template editor.
Find the option to add a link or URL.
Paste the direct link to your book’s most popular retailer (for example, your Amazon Kindle Unlimited page).
Save and test the image link to make sure it works correctly.
Note: Since you can only link your image to one destination, choose the retailer where you get the most sales or traffic to maximize conversions. ANOTHER OPTION IS TO LINK THE BOOK COVER TO A PLATFORM LIKE BOOKS2READ TO OFFER MULTIPLE RETAILER OPTIONS.
Pro Tips
Keep consistency in button text (e.g., “Read on Amazon” or “Buy Now”) so the page looks polished.
Test every link after publishing to catch typos or errors.
Action Steps
Add direct retailer links to each book’s button.
Replace cover images and link each cover to your most popular retailer OR USE BOOKS2READ.
Customize titles, blurbs, and any extra info like trigger warnings or series details.
Test all buttons and image links to ensure they work correctly.
